Superintendents
The backbone of any Fair is their exhibitor base and the Rochester Fair is no exception. Exhibitors are the ones who provide the quilts, cows, and any one of a thousand other items to the fair in search of friendly competition with a chance to win premium money at the same time. The Fair has the highest number of exhibitors of any fair in the state.
In 2003 the Fair was able to provide over $78,000 in prize money to those individual who exhibited. 4H children received over $17,000. Exhibitors range in age from the very young in the youth divisions to the seniors in their corresponding divisions. Premium books, which outline all of the departments and divisions, were mailed mid-July to those individuals who participated last year. For those that did not receive a book, they are available at the Fair office.
