Rochester Fair Motif Award

Rules and Regulations

 ***Please Read Carefully***

1. No entries will be accepted unless framed and wired for hanging.

2. Paintings must be the work of the Artist.

3. No Digital Photography accepted in the Art Dept.

4. No Pre entry necessary.  Entry Forms available at fair.

5. Specify on entry whether Professional, Amateur, handicapped, or age if over 65.

6. Only 1 entry in a category.

7. Material deemed suggestive or inappropriate may be excluded from display.

8. Entries will be taken at Fairgrounds Craft building,:  

 Sunday September 7th,  1:00pm to 6:00pm, 

Monday, September 8th , 9:00am to 8:00pm.  & Tuesday September 9th, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

NO EXHIBIT ACCEPTED AFTER 6:00PM ON TUESDAY.

9.     Judging starts promptly: Wednesday, September 12 at 9:00am.

10.   No results calls please.  We look Forward to seeing you discover your ribbon At the Fair or at Pick up.

11.   All Art Event winners will be notified by telephone.

 Art Sponsors: 

Four local businesses and one artist with long standing ties with the Art Department are sponsoring a cash award.  There will be one sponsor for each division.  The day after regular judging each sponsor will select his or her favorite.  Winners will receive a $50.00 Cash Award.    The presentation ceremony will be held Sunday, September 16 2008 at 1:00pm in the Exhibition Building.  All winners must be present at the ceremony to receive the cash award.  In addition to the above awards there will be two scholarships awarded.  The scholarship will be a three month instructional art class to be held at artstream.  Winners will be drawn from those entered in this year’s exhibition and are interested in attending the art class.  Scholarships are funded by artstream, Timeless Framing, and the Rochester Fair.  More detailed information will be on the scholarship certificate. One will be drawn in the Children’s Division, & one will be drawn in the Junior Division
